Telemedicine in Switzerland: what you need to know
What rules apply to online consultations? Who can prescribe what? A concise overview.

In Switzerland telemedicine is embedded in the Medical Professions Act and the Therapeutic Products Act. Prescribing physicians must be registered in MedReg, prescriptions must be issued electronically, and dispensing is handled by a Swiss pharmacy or, depending on the canton, directly by the physician.
Cantonal differences exist mainly around the modalities of the first consultation. At instafit the initial medical assessment is mandatory – no prescription without medical review.
